Crisis Support
If this is urgent, get direct help now.
Project Soft Landing can help with reflection, grounding, writing, and small next steps. It is not emergency support.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number now.
United States
- Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988.
- Emergency services: Call 911 if there is immediate danger.
If you are worried you might use
- Move away from the substance, contact, location, money, or situation connected to using.
- Call or text someone safe and be direct: “I do not feel safe handling this alone right now.”
- Go somewhere public, safe, or supervised if staying alone feels risky.
- Use The Pause only if you are safe enough to continue.
If you are supporting someone else
- Do not handle immediate danger alone.
- Call emergency services if someone may hurt themselves or someone else.
- Contact another trusted person so you are not the only support.
Outside the United States
If you are outside the U.S., contact your local emergency number or local crisis hotline. Search for crisis support in your country if you are not sure who to call.
